A LOCAL, BUT A BIT OF A CHALLENGING TREK
We’ll do the regular Pentachaeta Trail loop plus some additional distance in order to tack on extra mileage to this 2.8 mile loop. This trek offers views of Westlake Village and its lake as well as the LVR (Las Virgenes Reservoir).

MEETUP TIME: No later than 8:00 a.m.
DURATION: Four plus hours
OBJECTIVE: Besides doing the Pentachaeta Trail loop, we will do a portion of what the Woolsey fire left us of the Las Virgenes Reservoir overlook trail that once took us all the way to Westlake Blvd.
DISTANCE COVERED: 5+ miles – fairly steep at times
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE HIKER
PACE: A fun and comfortable pace for adventurous Trekkers.
ELEVATION GAIN: 1000′
TERRAIN: Easy to rugged and steep plus overgrown areas.
