Las Llajas, Simi Valley – Evening Hike

Meet at 6:30. We will start hiking promptly at 6:40.

This is an “out-and-back” casual hike, with an evenly distributed elevation gain of about 700’ which is great for beginners. The entire hike is on a fire road through a canyon and you will find no difficult or extended elevation climbs.

From the trail head, we’ll walk down a short distance on an asphalt path which turns into a gravel/dirt fire road. We’ll hike about 2.5-3 miles in and stop for a break before heading back. We’ll make a couple of stops to see the bee sanctuary.

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
