LAKE SABRINA AND SOUTH LAKE

This is day 2 of a two day Fall colors bike ride in the eastern Sierra Mountains. I’ll be staying in a motel for one night only Sunday Oct. 4th. You can stay additional nights and check out the Fall colors in the Mammoth and June Lakes areas if you want. This event has us doing two short rides through a forest of Quaking Aspens (Populus tremuloides): turning a brilliant golden-yellow in the fall.
The first ride will be to South Lake.
The second ride will be to Lake Sabrina. While there we can have lunch at the Cardinal Cafe before we reach the cars.

Make sure you
1). have slime in your innertubes or tires.
2). bring your bike’s battery charger
3). bring your bike’s battery key
4). have your battery fully charged
5). bring your helmet

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
