Details Distance/ Gain: The hike is a 11-mile Out and back with about 3000 feet of gain.
Rating: Intermediate to advanced (mainly for distance and altitude).
Description: This is not a hike for first timers. This is a 3000-foot hike to the summit of Pine Mountain and is mostly exposed till about 6000 feet where you creep into some chaparral, massive boulders, and eventual pine trees. The climb is not easy but if you are good with distance and climbing and like a challenge this is the hike for you. Once we reach the top if we are lucky on a clear day, you can also see some of the Channel Islands from the ridge line.
