Hike #9 in the 2023 highest and most interesting peaks in the Santa Monica Mountains series is to Triunfo Lookout (2658′), a strenuous 12-miles, 2000′ gain hike via Canyon View and Backbone Trails to the 4,396th highest peak in California.
Meet at 800 AM at the Circle X Ranch. (from PCH drive up Yerba Buena 5.3 miles to the Circle X Ranch parking on the right or from the 101 Freeway in Conejo Valley take Westlake Blvd 5.2 miles south to Mulholland Hwy. Bear right on Mulholland Hwy for 1.9 miles. Turn right on Mulholland Hwy for 0.4 miles, then turn right on Little Sycamore Canyon Road/Yerba Buena Road for 5.6 miles to the Circle X Ranch parking on the left).
