Hello Fellow Hikers,
Have you ever been to Will Rogers State Park? If not your in for a treat! This is my favorite state park to hike. There is so much eye candy here! From the ocean view on one side to downtown LA on the other, a bridge, stairs, wildflowers everywhere I have not been to this trail and not seen several deer here it really is a pretty hike. You will not feel that this trail is a lot of incline due to all the sights to see. So much is offered on this hike. The trail posted is a point to point we will be doing this trail on a out and back. Our goal will be to try and make it to Temescal Peak but if not will go to Goat Peak or as far as we can. So expect a 10-12 mile day. This trail is moderate but it does have a lot of continuous uphill so a beginner hiker may find this trail difficult. We will have to start our time at 8am as that’s when the gates open and we want to insure a parking spot. Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 7:15am) I have attached the AllTrails link for directions, pics, and stats: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/will-rogers-to-temescal-peak-to-split-rock-spur

Elevation Gain 2,000 (at least)
Dogs unfortunately not allowed in this state park
Parking is paid lot $12 or you can park free outside the park and walk in (but note that fills up fast so you’ll have to get there early if you want to park outside the park)
Rated moderate
As of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early.
Please check back on hike info as rain, heat advisory, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled
