This hike is the perfect hike for the first day of summer. It will require several stream crossings along the Arroyo Conejo and Wildwood Canyon Creek so wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet, and shorts (or long pants you don’t mind getting wet).
We’ll visit the Wetlands and have a picnic lunch at shady Skunk Hollow, a tree-lined area adjacent to a flowing creek with a picnic table. A nice little area. It will be almost all downhill to Skunk Hollow —
🍴Bring some food and drink to share🥂 and your own utensiles, etc
We’ll return to the cars via my secret trail and more stream crossings. Hike will be about 7 miles with 950 ft total ascent (it can be shortened to 5.5 miles and 600′ ascent with two less stream crossings if weather demands it)
