We did this hike exactly one year ago so it’s time to re-visit the area.
Please join me for an enjoyable hike that offers a bit of a challenge and is lots of fun for rock scramblers. This hike is rated as moderate but there are some steep sections on the trail not suiteable for beginners. The landscape is very scenic and if we are lucky we may see some wildflowers.
For those who want to explore more we can venture out to Balanced Rock before heading back to our cars.
This will be a loop hike.
Stats:
Level- Strong Intermediate/NO BEGINNERS PLEASE
Distance- 7 miles (add another mile or so to Balanced Rock)
Gain- 1600+ (approximate)
Terrain- rocky fire road, single track trails
Restrooms- available at trailhead
Dogs- NOT ALLOWED ON THIS HIKE
Parking-free on a dirt road
A National Forest Pass is NOT required.
WHAT TO BRING: A POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
Lunch/snacks, electrolytes, at least 3 liters of water, Lug soles with good tread, poles if you like/have them.
