Three Points to Pacifico Mountain Campground via Pacific Crest Trail

Hello Fellow Hikers,
Time to get in a long endurance hike. This is gonna be a long day but worth the trek. This time of year we will probably see a lot of thru hikers on the PCT trail. This trail will be both exposed and shaded. This will be a great conditioning hike as it is gradual with the last part being the climb up. Some people have stated that the trail is longer but they did veer off the original map to take an easier way to the top and back. We will be on the PCT through the route so the trail should be easier to follow now that it is open after being closed due to covid. This is a forest setting surrounded by mountains. This is a lesser known trail besides the PCTers. The temps are supposed to cool down this weekend but bring extra water just incase. Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool or follow to the trailhead (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 5:45am) I have attached the AllTrails link for directions, pics, and stats: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/three-points-to-pacifico-mountain-campground/photos

Trail out and back
Miles 18.7
Elevation Gain 3234ft
Rated Hard
Dogs allowed but must be conditioned for a longer harder hike
Parking must have Adventure Pass displayed

As of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early

Please check back on hike info as rain, heat advisory, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled

We will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:
1. Hike your own hike
2. Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up

Please remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike (you’ll need extra water for this one)

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
