The Ridge trail to Rocky Peak down Chumash trail loop

https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/las-llajas-canyon-and-ridge-loop

Hello Fellow Hikers,
If you haven’t done the Ridge trail in Simi Valley your in for a treat. This is a lesser known/traveled trail. You will follow the top Ridge of Las Llajas. The first 2 1/2 miles of this trail is where most of your incline comes in. Will have some steep sections to climb but the reward are the views! The above photo was taken off the Ridge trail just to give you an idea of how high and pretty the trail is. But instead of following the AllTrails from the Ridge trail to Las Llajas we will continue our journey to Chumash trail were will finish our hike back on Evening Sky Dr to our cars completing our loop…The AllTrails link will give you an idea of our hike it will also give you directions to our meeting spot

Trail Loop
Miles about 10.0
Elevation gain about 1900
Rated Hard ( due to most elevation gain is within the first 3 miles )
Dogs Not recommended on this one

We will follow Jim’s Golden Rules…
1) Hike your own hike
2) Please wait at every junction and split for others to catch up

Please remember to bring your face covering and all essentials needed for a hike.

And last… The Organizer, Assistant Organizer, Event Organizer and Event Host in this group are not professional guides. The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who signs up for a Event is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guest….

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
