This is a Gentler / Intermediate hike due to elevation and route-finding.
Grippy shoes and Trekking Poles Advised for This Hike!
We’ll meet at the trailhead on Helga Court, just off Lynn Road (see map). Please consider car-pooling; Helga Court is not very long.
I can almost guarantee that you’ve never been on this part of the Potrero Ridge Trail. In fact, I have rarely seen another human being on any part of the trail between Lynn and Wendy, and fairly few between Wendy and Reino on weekdays.
This trail is generally an out-and-back, with a loop at the furthest point taking us briefly down neighborhood streets to get from one part of the trail to the next. Otherwise, we’ll be skirting a horsey community and a residential neighborhood through old oak groves in the Potrero Ridge Open Space on trails that are far less traveled than those between Newbury Park and Dos Vientos.

- Don’t show up unless you’re shown on the “Attending” list.
- Plan on KEEPING UP with the group and completing the entire hike at a moderate pace, or please find an alternative hike that better suits your hiking level.
- No “Plus Ones” or dogs on Weekday Trailblazer hikes.
- All participants must be 18 or older, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
