BEFORE YOU WILL BE MOVED TO THE GOING LIST, YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR CDH PROFILE (The three questions must be answered with a “yes”) IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO
1. If you are not fully vaccinated then you must follow all safety guidelines regarding Covid. This means 6-ft social distancing, and wearing a mask when necessary.
2. We hike as a group and will not leave anyone behind.
****Early start time to beat the heat, although we should be fine since this trail is partly shaded with a short walk on the fire road****
Let’s continue to bag some peaks in the San Gabriel mountains.
Stoddard Peak is in the front range of the San Gabriel Mountains. As we walk through a shaded forest, we will pass through some really interesting cabins that are currently occupied by residents. So let’s be respectful of their privacy and keep the talking to a minimum until we are out in the clear. The final push to the summit is a use semi-steep path that involves some rock scrambling. Once on top, we will be rewarded with 360-degree views of Mt. Baldy and the surrounding peaks.
