Stagecoach to Angel Vista – Gentler with COSF Benefit Lunch After at the Alamo

The weather will be nice and cool this Thursday, so a 9 am start time will be fine.

This hike is timed so that we can end roughly at 11 am and make our way over to the Alamo (next to the library at Borchard and 101) for lunch; Thursday is COSF Benefit Day at the Alamo, where they will donate a significant fraction of their take to Conejo Open Space Foundation when you mention COSF when you order.

This hike is about 4.5 mile out-and-back trip from Lynn Road to the Rosewood Trail to Angel Vista. There is an option to add more mileage if this shorty is too short for you. We’ll park at the playfield near Stagecoach Inn and walk from Lynn Road on the lower Rosewood Trail, to the usual trailhead and then on up the trail.

The elevation gain/loss is about 900’. It is a well maintained trail with lots of foliage but relatively little shade. At the top, the picnic table at Angel Vista offers great views of the Conejo Valley, Hidden Valley, the White Stallion chateaux, the Oxnard Plains, and (on a clear day) a couple of the Channel Islands.

Please review our guidelines to participate in our morning hikes.

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
