Hike #7 in the 2026 Saturday in the Santa Monica Mountains series, will be an adventurous 9-mile, 2300’ gain loop hike, taking the Mountaineer’s Route to the 360 panoramic view at Topanga Lookout (2469’) from Stunt Road. with a stop at Saddle Peak (2805’) with ocean views and lunch with return via the Stunt High Trail.
Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a good attitude. Rain, excessive heat, or Red Flag alert cancels. Poles could be useful on some portions of this route and long pants and long sleeve shirt recommended.
This is a Front Country hike. A medical form is recommended, but not required. If you have one, please carry it with you. Copies of the form will be available to fill out at the trailhead as well.
Outing to be conducted to Sierra Club hike safety guidelines, group to hike together with participants following the leader and in front of the sweep.
