SAN GABRIEL, MARKHAM AND MT. LOWE PEAKS

BEFORE YOU WILL BE MOVED TO THE GOING LIST, YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR CDH PROFILE (The three questions must be answered with a “yes”) IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR PROFILE:
https://wp.me/P9MbG4-hC

***Due to the recent surge with Covid-Omicron, only those who are fully vaccinated and boosted will be moved to the going list.
Thanks for your understanding.***

This is a good time to re-vist some peaks in the San Gabriel mountains. The weather forecast for next week will be partly cloudy skies and sunny with a high of 71-degrees.

We will bag all three peaks and not necesarily in the order listed below.
You must be comfortable with Class 2 rock scrambling especially when climbing up to Mt. Markham. Poles and gloves may be helpful on some sections leading up to the summit.

We will be moving at a comfortable pace and will not leave anyone behind. However, if you feel you cannot complete all three peaks then I can lead you back to the trailhead as long as you let me know your plans.

Mt. Markham 5742′
Mt. Lowe 5603′
San Gabriel Peak 6161′

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
