Rocky Peak to Tapo Canyon Preserve

Hello fellow hikers,
I have been talking about this one for awhile so here we go…this will be a point to point hike I have attached the AllTrails link as this will be our meeting spot and we will be doing this hike..but.. we are gonna carpool to Rocky Peak and start it from the reverse direction so will end up at Tapo Canyon. I have done this hike the full length and it is AWESOME it has everything (except rock scrambling or off trail) you will get amazing views with your stretches of climbs up to your stretches of level off sections. All the trails separate would be rated moderate but put together you have a harder rated trail. Anyone is welcome to do any part of the sections if you want to turn back but please note we are continuing on. You can either bring a friend to drive separately or/and we can all take several cars (depending upon how many attend) out of respect we will wear mask in the car but not required on the trail. This will be a good heart up and pumping workout but not a killer more of a great feeling you did it… 🙂 I attached the AllTrails link for directions, pics, and stats

Trail point to point
Miles 14.7
Elevation Gain 3021 ft
Rated hard
Dogs allowed BUT must be conditioned for a longer harder hike

We will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:
1) Hike your own hike
2) Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up

Please remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike (a lot of water on this one)

And last….The Organizer, Co Organizer, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who signs up for a Event is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guess

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
