Phantom to MCSP to Grasslands from De Anza Park

*** THIS HIKE IS FULL – even if someone drops out, I will not be adding anyone from the waitlist **^

Very limited attendance – wait list only – taking people I have hiked with regularly who follow the rules – max 5 people – masks must be worn if it’s not possible to distance (yes, even though we are outside)

10+ lollipop loop with somewhere between 1500 and 1700′ of gain (I’ve done the trail twice and got readings of 10.3 and 10.6 miles).

I will be making a slight detour to check out the campgrounds at MCSP which will add a bit of mileage and time to the hike. If you know how to get back to the park, you don’t have to do the detour.

MEETUP LOCATION : Meet near the bathrooms at Juan Bautista de Anza Park

MEETUP DIRECTIONS FROM 101: From the Valley on US 101 North, exit Lost Hills. Make a left and follow the road to the park, which will be on your right. If you reach, Las Virgenes Road, you’ve gone too far.

From the north/west on US 101 South, exit Lost Hills. Make a right and follow the road to the park, which will be on your right. If you reach, Las Virgenes Road, you’ve gone too far.

MEETUP PARKING FEE: No Parking Fee

DISTANCE: 10+ miles

ELEVATION GAIN: 1500-1700 feet

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
