I Have been wanting to return to the Palo Comado trail for quite some time now. It’s beautiful during the spring. Hopefully, we see some wild flowers. The plan is to hike to Simi Peak but I will leave the option open to those who want to turn around at China Flats.
Since we are living in the age of Covid, I am limiting this event to a max of 10 people due to social distancing.
THESE ARE THE RULES:
1. ONLY people I have been hiking with will be moved to the going list.
2. You must follow all safety guidelines regarding Covid. This means 6 ft social distancing, and wearing a mask. If you are unclear here is the link https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/social-distancing.html
3. We hike as a group and will not leave anyone behind.
Distance-8 miles, Gain-1700′ (approximate)
Difficulty- intermediate, NO BEGINNERS
Terrain: single track and fire roads
Restrooms- not at the trailhead. There are restrooms at McDonald’s off Kanan.
Parking- street parking
DIRECTIONS: From 101 South, turn right on Kanan, Turn right onto Sunnycrest Dr, and continue onto Doubletree Rd
Destination will be on the right
WHAT TO BRING: A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, Lunch/Snacks, At least 2 liters of water, Lug soles with good tread, Poles if you like/have them. Hand sanitizer.

CDH POLICY: Any member with two NO SHOWS on CDH events since will lose their membership with CDH. Members will not be allowed on this and future events until they have updated their CDH profile by answering the new questions as well as having a recognizable face photo of themselves. This update cannot be done via an app, an iPhone or any other type of a hand-held phone. It must be done on a computer.
COVID POLICY: We all wear a mask and practice CDC social distancing during this event. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN YOU BEING EXCLUDED FROM MY EVENTS IN THE FUTURE.
