Ojai Bike Ride – With A Twist

This is a favorite any time of the year. A great ride to invite friends to, but please have them join the group and RSVP to the event. This trail starts at the beach and meanders up to Ojai on an old rail line that was converted to a trail. We’ll ride up to Boccali’s for a delicious lunch and perhaps some of their famous strawberry shortcake.

*For this ride you will automatically be put on a wait list and moved to “going” as spots open up.

Here’s the “twist”. On our return, we’ll stop-off at Ventura Spirits for a tasting. They are located next to the bike path with convenient bike parking. The tastings are $12 and include 4 tastings or 1 cocktail. Safe for the ride/drive home. Those who prefer to pass can continue back to the cars.

Make sure you bring along a spare inner tube and bike lock. Also, check your bike out at home to make sure it is in working order and tires are inflated BEFORE you arrive at the meetup location.

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
