This out-and-back, about 5 miles hike with an elevation gain/loss of +/-1000’ provides a great overview of the Thousand Oaks area, the ocean and the western Santa Monica Mountains. The first portion is a narrow trail that zigzags its way up and if you reach the top, you’ll be enjoying 360 degree views toward Boney Mountain on the west, Lang Ranch and Woodridge trails on the north and more.
Directions:
From 101: Exit at Westlake Boulevard and turn north (away from the ocean). Drive 4.2 miles to Lang Ranch Parkway, then turn right. Continue 0.2 miles along Lang Ranch Parkway to the trailhead, across from the park and vault toilet.
