https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/mount-thom-and-tongva-peak-loop?ref=result-card

Hello Fellow Hikers,
Okay I know we have been hitting a lot of further away and more of a all day hikes. Well let’s give ourselves a little break and hit one not as far and won’t take all day. However that will be it for your break because this trail is gonna kick your butt! Oh yes this one will be a workout! A lot of people use this trail as a conditioning hike for your big peaks. It packs a bunch in 6.7 miles. But once you have made it to the top of Mount Thom it’s a easier hike to Tongva peak then a fireroad back to our cars. And I haven’t even mentioned the views! This one will give you a different view then what you are used too one of many reasons that makes this hike a unique one. (Well have to start this one as soon as the park opens due to the heat) Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool or follow to the trailhead (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 6:45am) I have attached the AllTrails link for directions, pics, and stats: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/mount-thom-and-tongva-peak-loop?ref=result-card

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
