NOTE:
I have cancelled the hike for Newton Canyon off Kanan for Tuesday April 16, because there was more rain that I expected and that hike takes us down into the valley and I think it will be too wet. So this is an alternative, but we will still get in at least 5 miles. We will start in the parking lot at the end of Moorhead and walk down the street to Las Padres and go up that path, around and all the way over to the parking lot off Greenmeadow and take the hiking path back to our parking lot at Moorpark. It’s a fun hike and this area dries out very fast so it should not be muddy.
“Robles” is Spanish for oaks, and we’ll see plenty of them on this beautiful hike. We might even see some wild flowers.
Trailhead Directions: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks, turn south on Moorpark Road. Go to the end of Moorpark but don’t turn down Greenmeadow, just park at the end of Moorpark.
