Hike to The Bridge To Nowhere – East Fork San Gabriel River – Azusa

We had so much fun last time, we are going to do it again.

This is one of my favorite hikes around! Come join us for a super fun adventure. Prepare to get wet! We cross the San Gabriel River multiple times. (The water will be knee height or lower.)

The hike is going to be going to the Bridge to Nowhere in Azusa, CA. This is located in the San Gabriel Mountains. This hike is an out and back that should be roughly 10 miles with about 1,300 ft. of elevation change.

Other things that would be great to have: lots of water, layers (there’s a lot of shade in the beginning), sunscreen, a hat, snacks/food, great hiking boots, hiking poles….

It shouldn’t be near as hot the day we are doing this.

For parking, this hike requires an Adventure Pass. You can purchase a day pass for $5 or an annual pass for $30. Here is a link of where you can purchase either the day/annual pass (please purchase beforehand, as you cannot purchase in the parking lot): http://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/r5/passes-permits/recreation/?cid=stelprdb5181410&width=full

Please ask any questions you may have before the hike.

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
