Pandemic? What Pandemic? Seriously I need the exercise!
This is only for workout exercise purposes! This is our outside gym (my Ventura County gym has outdoor still happening so lets hike!)
Las LLajas is a good evening hike in the dark. It is an even, wide road that is safer than many other hiking trails.
I will be going at a fast pace. If you are a beginner you can still join us, just do not expect us to wait for you. I suggest going with us and then turning around when we are on our way back if you are slower and you can still get your own workout in and maybe do a little less of the distance.
Distance: 6 miles
Elevation Gain: 700′
Difficulty: I will be going at intermediate pace, beginners can tag along too but not expect us to stay back with you.
Dogs: No dogs please
Restrooms: No
Water Fountain: No
Parking: Free street parking just note the signs.
Trail: Out and back, semi paved/gravel road
Sunset: 5:58 pm bring a headlamp or flashlight
Weather: May be breezy, rain or high winds cancel the hike
Known Dangers: Rattlesnakes, slip-‘n-fall, poison oak all can be encountered on this trail
Bring: Flashlight/headlamp possibly a light layer
Water, I recommend at least a liter, maybe more if you sweat a lot, also if you get hungry, bring a personal snack.
