Have you looked at our past events into the RAZORBACKS of the Los Padres National Forest and wished you were able to enjoy this area but missed out because they’ve mostly been scheduled on a weekday. Well, here’s a weekend posting which will allow you to participate in this area below pinyon pine covered ridges as we use an easy canyon to access them. Of all the treks in the Razorbacks, this was the most rewarding. This trek will be geared for a select group of intermediate hikers who love exploring that I have hiked with before. We’ll all be heading deep into a Razorback Bowl to enjoy what nature has carved out there. We’ll further explore a canyon we did last time there which can be seen in the upper right quarter of the posted picture. This ain’t Utah, but it’s as close as you’re going to get to it in California.
BECAUSE THIS IS A DELICATE AREA, I WANT TO KEEP THE GROUP SMALL
If you don’t get to go this time, I will be doing several other trips up there.
Check out the photos posted on our last trip there:

EARLIER MEETUP LOCATION: Those out my way can meet me in Woodland Hills at 6:30 a.m. and take off from there in a car pool. Meet at the corner of Leonora Dr. and Ponce Avenue. We can park on Ponce which is not in front of any homes. We can load the cars up here, since there isn’t a car shuttle involved on this event.
