DAY TRIP IN AND AROUND SANTA BARBARA – VIA AMTRAK – TENTATIVE DATES!

LET’S TAKE THE TRAIN TO SANTA BARBARA!
TENTATIVE DATES: Saturday – November 13 -OR- NOVEMBER 20, 2021

If you made the Carpinteria trip, you know how much fun we had…

If you missed it, now is your chance to get back in on the fun!!!

Go ahead and RSVP if you are interested in either date…
I’ll be looking for your comments below on which of these dates and departure times work best for you. I like train #765 on the 13th, and #794 for the return trip!

SHEDULES ARE THE SAME FOR BOTH THE ABOVE DATES…

FOR DEPARTURES FROM SIMI (SIM to SBA):
Train # Depart SIM – Arrive SBA $Cost (one-way)
761 8:16AM – 9:57AM $24
765 10:11AM – 11:49AM $19
14 11:11AM – 12:33PM $24

FOR RETURNS TO SIMI (SBA to SIM):
Train # Depart SBA – Arrive SIM $Cost (one-way)
11 6:02PM – 7:48PB $19
794 7:12PM – 9:52PM $24

NOTE: You can also book passage from other start locations, e.g. Chatsworth, Van Nuys, Oxnard, Ventura, Carpinteria, etc…

We’ll trip around Santa Barbara, the pier, the breweries and restaurants, shops and galleries, then make our way back to the train station for a relaxing ride home via Amtrak!

ALTERNATIVELY: Drive yourself and meet at the Santa Barbara train station or look for your hiking friends on State Street between the pier and the upper part of lower State Street.

I’ll post our points of destination in the Message Section below as we wander around the town.

Please comment when you have purchased your train tickets!

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
