BIKE RIDE FROM LAKE BALBOA TO BURBANK AND BACK
The Orange Line bikeway runs along the Orange Line in the San Fernando Valley. We’ll be starting at the Swan Boat Rental Parking lot at Lake Balboa and head out to Valley College. From there, we get onto Chandler Blvd and head towards the North Hollywood Red line with a caffeine stop and break at the Groundwork Coffee Company. Then we continue east until we hit the Burbank bike path and take it to its eastern end.
Note that on Chandler Blvd, you will be riding in a bike lane on the road and not on a bike path.

Make sure you bring along a spare inner tube.

MEETUP LOCATION AND TIME: Swan Boat Rental Parking Lot at Lake Balboa at 9am. There are restrooms here.

MEETUP DIRECTIONS FROM 101: Head north on Balboa Blvd. After Burbank Blvd, there will eventually be a right turn that takes you into Balboa Park. Follow that and the road will turn left, crossing a small creek and sending you northward. At the next stop sign, turn into the Swan Boat Rental parking lot.

If you have trouble finding us, call my cell# (818-307-6460).

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
