Another HWD Original!
The world-famous HWD Ranch is located within the stunning Hidden Creeks parkland near the confluence of Browns Creek and Mormon Creek. The parkland provides a key migration corridor and perennial water source to a full complement of large mammals including black bear, mountain lion, mule deer, bobcat, American badger, grey fox, long-tailed weasel, ring-tailed cat, and the endangered California Condor.
Nature won’t be the only thing we’ll experience. We may get a chance to meet Ferdinand, a bull that roams the area and a couple of wild horses. There are lots of old artifacts to explore along the way, including old ranch houses, abandoned ranch vehicles, a dam and much more! So expect a lot of stops along the way.
HIKE IS 6 MILES WITH ABOUT 1,000 FT TOTAL ASCENT AND IS RATED MEDIUM. See the HWD Hike Rating Guide
