NOTE: Later time (10:00 AM) and different day (Friday)
Since we have been inside for too long, I decided to
post a hike for tomorrow, Friday 2/20. The hike will be on asphalt only and we will be limited to about 400 feet elevation gain. Hopefully, we will get in about 5-6 miles by making a big loop to the pier then back to the cars. Bring money or credit card, so we can stop on the pier for lunch.
This hike will start at the Museum of Ventura County parking lot. We will then cross Main Street and take the stairs up to Poli Street where we can connect to Brakey Road (This will be safer than Ferro as no cars are allowed) and hike up to the top of the hill to the Sierra Cross at Grant Park. From there we will come down Summit Drive to N Kalorama Street, which will take us to E Front Street and across the bridge to the beach, where we will connect to the pier. After lunch we’ll take the Ventura Promenade to Figueroa St. and back to our cars.
