Saturdays in the Santa Monica Mountains 2025 #8 – Sycamore Serrano Chamberlin

Hike #8 in the 2025 Saturday in the Santa Monica Mountains series is
a strenuous 14 miles, 2500 gain hike from Sycamore Canyon through Serrano Valley to lunch at Chamberlain Split Rock Memorial and return.

Meet at the Lower Sycamore Canyon fee parking lot on the in-land side of the PCH (PCH West 19 miles from Malibu Canyon Road – Google maps: 9000 PCH). Pay fee or park for free with appropriate parking permit in parking lot, or park for free on PCH around corner near sand dune.

Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and an adventurous attitude. Rain, excessive heat, or Red Flag alert cancels.
