The Santa Rosa Trail makes up the backbone of this area because of the access it gives to both Wildwood Park and the Santa Rosa Valley which runs 3.7 miles from Mesa Trail in Wildwood Park, up Mount Clef Ridge and on to CLU and Conejo Valley YMCA.
This is a 6 mile tadpole-shape hike with an elevation of 800-900’ gain/loss. We will head right on to the northeast Santa Rosa Trail where it provides great views of Wildwood Park. After returning to where we began, we will then head left on to the southwest Santa Rosa Trail where you will get nice views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the ocean, as well as a panorama of the Conejo Valley below you.
Directions:
From the 101 in Thousand Oaks, turn north on Lynn Road and continue 3 miles to Wildwood Ave., then turn left. Continue for about 0.7 mile to Camino de celeste on right, then drive to the end of it.
