Santa Clara Divide Road to Los Pinetos

Hello Everyone! Okay time to get out and explore the Newhall/Santa Clarita area…
This trail the locals call “The Beast” because it’s a good up hill climb for a couple miles until it levels off. From there it’s more gradual. The hike should take us to Los Pinetos peak weather towers. We will be following the AllTrails map from the start to the end. I’ve provided the AllTrails link for photos, stats, and directions…

Trail is out and back
Dogs are allowed but keep in mind this is a good mileage hike
Millage 9.4
Elevation gain 2155
Rated moderate but most of the EG will be upfront

We will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:
1) Hike your own hike
2) Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up

Please remember to bring your face covering and all essentials you’ll need for a hike including leash and poop bags for the doggie..
