Santa Barbara to Goleta loop ride with coastal views

Enjoy the cooler weather and coastal views! We start at Arroyo Beach County Park in Santa Barbara and head counterclockwise up the bike path next to Las Positas Road. We proceed all the way out to Goleta, via Modoc Road and Hollister Avenue. We ride along the Devereux Slough to Devereux Beach along a dirt path (Elaine approved) and into Isla Vista. After cycling through UCSB we traverse Goleta Beach onto the Obern Bike Trail that takes to Hope Ranch and back to the cars.
Make sure you bring along a spare inner tube.

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
