This is a second hike for Thursday since the only hike posted is full. We will start near the beginning of Regal Oak Ct. on the lower Rosewood Trail, a dirt trail heading up a shaded ravine at the base of the mountain and continue to the usual Rosewood trail. We will hike to the top of Rosewood trail where there is a picnic table. Since this is an out and back, you can take your time or speed it up. The picnic table at Angel Vista offers magnificent panoramic viewpoints of the Santa Monica Mountains in a coastal area including the Boney Mountains, Sandstone Peak and the rocky crown of Santa Monicas with Conejo Valley, the Oxnard Plains and (on a clear day, although it has been foggy lately) a couple of the Channel Islands.
This hike is 5 miles with an elevation gain/loss of about 900‘.
Directions: From the 101 Freeway take Ventu Park Rd. south, turn right on Lynn Rd. and left on Regal Oak.
