This will be a figure 8 loop throughout the upper mesa of Rancho Sierra Vista. We will see many California poppies and Mariposa lilies as well as enjoy the green hills. Bring plenty of water, wide hat, sturdy shoes or boots and hiking poles if you favor them.
Total distance is roughly 6 miles, with about 1000′ of elevation gain. There is little shade during this hike.
Note that this is a gentler hike but not a beginner hike. It is a convoluted trail so we will try to keep the group together. We will go about 2.5mph.

Exit Ventura Fwy (101) at Lynn Road. Take Lynn Road southwest 5.25 miles to Via Goleta. Rancho Sierra Vista entrance (through the stone pillars and arch) is on the left. Drive to the end, and park near the restroom
