Time to go to the beach! And up a long hill, around the pond, and back down the hill. We may even stop at your grandmother’s house. Our route will take us from the outer parking lot at Leo Carrillo State Park (just off PCH at Mulholland) all the way up to Nicholas Pond. We’ll do a “double lollipop”, with a loop around the pond and another at the bottom, by taking an alternative (but beautiful) route back to the cars on Willow Creek Trail.
This hike is a little over 7 miles, with 2,100′ elevation gain and loss. Bring lots of water please.
Directions
Take PCH to the entrance of Leo Carillo State Park just east of Mulholland Drive, and enter the park (or park on PCH where permitted). We will meet in the outer parking lot (on the land side of PCH).
