THESE ARE THE RULES:
1. You must follow all safety guidelines regarding Covid. This means 6-ft social distancing, and wearing a mask when passing others on the trail.
2. We hike as a group and will not leave anyone behind.
Let’s continue to bag some peaks in the San Gabriel mountains.
Mt. Lowe and Mt. Markham are on the front range of the San Gabriel mountains. Even though both peaks are a short distance, each one packs a punch with some steepness and rock scrambling.
On both summits we will be rewarded with beautiful 360-degree views of San Gabriel peak, Mt. Disappointment, Mt. Deception and other neighboring peaks.

Level-Strong intermediate/NO BEGINNERS
Distance- 9 miles
Gain- 1800′ (approximate)
Terrain- fire road and single track trails
Restrooms- at Red Box
Dogs- NOT ALLOWED ON THIS HIKE
Parking- free
WHAT TO BRING: A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
Snacks/lunch, at least 3 liters of water, Lug soles with good tread, poles if you like/have them.

CDH POLICY: Any member with two NO SHOWS on CDH events since will lose their membership with CDH. Members will not be allowed on this and future events until they have updated their CDH profile by answering the new questions as well as having a recognizable face photo of themselves.
