Meandering hike at Placerita Canyon Natural Area to the Falls OUT and BACK

Nice and easy hike, if you are thinking about hiking and want to try something easy this is the hike for you! We will hike out to the waterfall area and see if there is any water in the waterfall. Chances are not likely but we shall see, there might even be some cool rocks!

Hike: Meet at 8:30 AM to head up the trail at 8:35 AM (details below)

DISTANCE: 5.34 miles Total, Out and Back style (i.e. the same way) to the waterfalls

GAIN: 587′

RATING: Beginner + (This is an easy hike, you might get your feet wet and there will be some scrambling)

DURATION: (Approx.): ~ 3 hours total

Directions: From Santa Clarita, take the I-5 freeway to the SR-14 freeway north. Exit Placerita Canyon, turn right. In a few miles, you will see the entrance to Placerita Natural area on your right.

At 8:00 A.M at the south end of the parking lot next to the new bathroom area next to the bridge that crosses the creek into the nature area. We will leave at 8:35 sharp.

BRING:
Water and Electrolytes count on it being warm, also salty snack is a good idea as well.

WEAR:
Hiking boots (waterproof if you have them) or shoes with good tread; layered clothing and hiking poles if you have them. A change of shoes for after the hike.

Adventure Pass: Not required

Dogs: OK, but MUST be kept on a leash and well-behaved. Please bring and use dog litter bags.
