NOTE:
It is awfully hot out there folks, the only hike I will do is this one because we did it last week and there was lots of shade. This will be a gentler hike for Thursday. We will go slower and with less elevation gain and less miles. Some hikers may want to go on to Greenmeadow at the end, but you can also return to the parking lot. We will start at 8:00.
We will start in the parking lot at the end of Moorpark and walk down the street to the Las Padres trail. From there we will loop around and come back to the Moorpark trailhead via the Los Robles trail. This should be around 4.5 miles with maybe 800 feet elevation gain.
“Robles” is Spanish for oaks, and we’ll see plenty of them on this beautiful hike.
Trailhead Directions: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks, turn south on Moorpark Road. Go to the end of Moorpark DO NOT turn down Greenmeadow, just park at the end of Moorpark. The map is not totally accurate, just go to the end of Moorpark.
