**Sunday, May 22nd, 2022: Topanga State Park – Trippet Ranch to Eagle Rock**

**Rating: Moderate**

**Trailhead Time: 9:00 A.M.**

**Description:**
This hike of a 5 mile loop with a 1,000 feet elevation gain. We will take the Musch Trail to Eagle Junction, continuing on a fire road to Eagle Rock, then return to Trippet Ranch via the fire road. We will have spectacular views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the ocean at the top. **NO DOGS ALLOWED!!**

**After the hike we may go to lunch at an eatery nearby.**

**WHAT TO BRING:**
**Face Coverings (optional),**Two liters of water, snacks, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, hiking boots or shoes with good traction, daypack, hiking poles/sticks, shorts and a T-shirt or long pants and long sleeved shirt, depending on weather. Clothes should be loose fitting, and light-colors are preferable.

**Driving Directions from the Valley:**
Take Fwy 101 N to Topanga Cyn Blvd/ Hwy 27 South 8 miles to Entrada Rd left, 1 one mile and turning left at every opportunity on Entrada Rd until you arrive at Topanga State Park. Make a left on the entrance road to Topanga State Park and proceed to the parking lot (fee). **We will meet by the restrooms in the main parking lot.** You can also park for free on Entrada Road and walk 10 minutes to the meeting place. Do not park on the entrance road to the park. The address where we meet is: **20829 Entrada Rd, Topanga Canyon, CA 90290**

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.
