Break up the holiday blues with a hike on Hollywood staircases. Climb high to see the festive holiday city lights. Prepare for winter adventures (or excess holiday calories) by carrying a heavy pack like Saint Nick. Meet at the Starbucks on Highland & Franklin (1900 Highland Ave, LA 90068). The parking forecast is hazy so arrive early. Hint: try a parking lot to the north. Bring water, adventurous spirit, strong legs, a sharp eye and a love of stair hikes. Flashlight optional.
