Harvest Moon Potluck Party on Inspiration Point – Easy Hike

99.9% full moon potluck. Bring booze, drinks and food to share. Comfy picnic benches above Will Rogers SHP. Free parking

👉NO WHITE LIGHTS ALLOWED ON HIKE. Green and/or red lights are ok (but lights may not be needed since the area will be well lit by the moon).

Inspiration Point, a flat-topped bump on a ridge overlooking the entire Will Rogers spread with fantastic views of Santa Monica Bay, Century City, the Wilshire corridor — and all the way to downtown L.A.

The Harvest Moon is probably the most known of the Full Moon names inspiring films, a Nintendo Switch game, and songs—including Neil Young’s Billboard hit “Harvest Moon.”

DIRECTIONS
Take Sunset Boulevard to Will Rogers State Park Road, located 4.5 miles west of the 405 and three miles east of PCH. At the light, turn north on Will Rogers State Park Road. Drive 1/2 mile to Villa View Dr and park on street. If there is no parking on Will Rogers Rd park on Villa View or the next side street.

Do not park in the Will Rogers SP parking lot! Walk into park, past parking kiosk. We’ll meet at the end and above the first lot near the tennis court. Bathrooms are available
