The Santa Clara River is one of the last mostly natural remaining river ecosystems left in our state. There is no concrete or cement lining its sides or bottom. Until now. The county watershed protection agency (WPD) plans to repair 2.8 miles of the south bank from Hwy 101 upstream to Central Ave.
Sierra Club and other concerned organizations and local leaders need your help to insist on common betterments such as a levee bike path and trails, vegetation covering the cement and more.
If you want to help our local environment, please listen in and then take a simple step to write your thoughts to the county. Comment DUE DATE is July 27 and more info will be provided at the zoom meeting.
