A Slow HIKE to Explore The Gardens
The Conejo Valley Botanic Garden is 33-acres of natural terrain encircled by the city of Thousand Oaks.
MEETUP LOCATION: Inside the Dover and Hendrix Park Parking Lot 34.192557, -118.880520
!01 FWY go north on Moorpark Rd Left on onto E Gainsborough Rd .4 mi
Turn left at the 3rd cross street onto Hendrix Ave 0.2 mi
Turn right at the 2nd cross street onto Dover Ave 148 ft Turn left
Destination will be on the left
There are restrooms in the park
MEETUP TIME: Ready to hike no later than 12 a.m.
DURATION: 2+ HOURS
DISTANCE: 2.5 miles max – Those getting tired along the way can easily drop out and return to their cars since we will be hiking a series of circles starting out with a loop through the park itself.
ELEVATION GAIN: 250 feet max
PACE: 1.5 mph
TERRAIN: Single and double track trails
RESTROOM: Yes
DOGS ALLOWED: YES, but you must keep them on a leash and clean up after them. NO EXCEPTIONS.
