Moderately Strenuous 9 mile hike (round trip). Elevation gain/loss of about 2200 ft. Follow the power-line road/trail into the canyon and to points overlooking Newbury Park, Camarillo, the Oxnard Plain, and the Pacific Coast. Wildflowers are abundant in the springtime. Some of the road/trail surfaces are rocky-gravel, but not difficult. Return on same road/trails.
Park at the Dos Vientos Community Center located at Borchard Rd. and Via Las Brisas. Access the parking lot from Borchard Rd.

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need. Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
