I can’t find a fancy description so deal with it…. and wanted to post so I wouldnt lose my nerve….

We will start at Newton Canyon trailhead on Kanan-Dume Rd. and head over the road and up the hill. Down, and up, and then back again. Out and back, go as far as tou want. Im targeting 6 miles total for this one
Directions:
Exit 101, then go south (toward beaches) on Kanan Road about 8 miles to just before the third tunnel (T1). The parking lot is on the right.
From Pacific Coast Highway, go north on Kanan Dume Road about 4 miles and make a left turn into the parking lot immediately after going through the first tunnel.
Parking is free.
Bring sunscreen, plenty of water, and wear sturdy shoes and a sun hat. Please consider bringing the 10 essentials (https://bit.ly/1vB2Avz)..)
Our departure time is 9:00 a.m. Please plan on arriving by 8:45 to get your boots and backpack on in time.
