OPENING DAY IS ALMOST HERE. Villa Del Sol sweet cherry farms will be opening for Cherry Picking June 3rd. The Brook Cherries will be ready for picking. We’ll jump on this before the weekend crowds show up.
They accept Credit and Debit Cards for your convenience as well as cash.
Although there is no entrance fee, they are a working Cherry Farm and grow their Cherries to sell them. They do not allow eating Cherries in the orchard–Pick then Pay then Eat! Remember, only pick what you intend to buy.
If you have not been to their orchard before, please review the rules on their web site www.upickcherries.com: NO picking stems, NO climbing in trees, NO pulling down branches as they will break, NO picnicking in the orchard, etc.

IMPORTANT: Bring a cooler for the cherries since they will be in a hot car while we are having breakfast and driving home.
So, if you like the idea of getting out of town to hand pick some cherries, then join the group as we take on a very short hike through the cherry trees. I plan on arriving at the farms around 8:00 am, but, I have set up an earlier meetup time of 6:30 am in Woodland Hills.
After picking cherries, I will be heading over to The Route 66 Classic Grill at 18730 Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country for lunch. If you plan on doing the same make sure your carpool members are doing so as well.

EARLIER MEETUP LOCATION: Those out my way can meet in Woodland Hills at 6:30 a.m. and take off from there in a car pool. Riders should help the drivers out ($15/passenger). Meet at the corner of Leonora Dr. and Ponce Avenue. Ponce Ave. is the first street east of Fallbrook. We can park on Ponce which is not in front of any homes.
