Carmina Burana with New West Symphony Chorus

Your organizer, Steve, will be performing as part of the New West Symphony Chorus in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, New West Symphony’s 2025 Masterpiece Series.

A rowdy, bawdy song cycle, imagined in a Middle Ages tavern populated by soldiers, monks, farmers and peasants, this music will be familiar to anyone who has ever watched a sword & sorcery movie.

The arrangement features the Vieness Piano Duo, Los Robles Children’s Choir and State Street Ballet. The concert also includes a performance of Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals.

Saturday’s performance is at Bank of America Performing Arts Center, Thousand Oaks. Tickets are available through the Symphony box office, not Meetup.

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
