Let’s get out and repeat hike/walk the Calleguas Creek Bike Path along with a neighborhood trail that we can walk on without getting our feet wet or muddy. There are waterfalls in the creek during the rainy season that winds along the east side of Camarillo, a bedroom community on the outskirts of Los Angeles. A majority of this hike takes place on a paved pathway that serves as a great connector between the city’s north and south sides and provides safe passage.
It is about 6 miles with a 300-400’ elevation gain/loss.
Direction:
Exit 101 at Pleasant Valley/ Santa Rosa Rd. and head east ( away from the ocean) onto Santa Rosa Rd. Use the 2nd left lane to turn left onto Adolfo Rd. and drive 0.2 miles. Turn right onto Mission Oaks Blvd. and drive 0.6 miles and turn left onto Creekside Rd. Drive to the dead end.
