Don’t be left behind for this hike or we will giggle when you come racing down the street to catch up! We are starting this Wildwood hike from Wildwood Avenue NOT Wildwood Park.
One of many ways to experience versatile Wildwood Park, we’ll start on the ridge, and travel down to the Santa Rosa Valley on the Shooting Star connector trail. Once at the bottom, we’ll hike to the end of the trail and take a break while viewing the castle gates and giant model train system. We’ll retrace our path to return to the cars.

This hike is about 5 miles 1000 feet of elevation gain.

Directions:
From the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks, turn north on Lynn Road and continue 2.9 miles to Wildwood Avenue, then turn left. Follow the street around for 0.9 miles. Park at the side of the road near the trailhead.
From the 118, head west to the 23 and exit at Olsen Rd. Turn right onto Olsen. After 3.2 miles, turn right onto Wildwood Rd and drive for .9 mile. The trailhead is on the right.
*Note that this is a different location from the main Wildwood parking area! We’ll start on a spur trail that leads down to the Santa Rosa Trail from Wildwood Avenue.
